Russian Online Audience Continues to Grow

According to different estimates the number of Internet users in Russia varies from 57.8 million (Public Opinion Foundation) to 70 million (Ministry of Telecommunications). Each source has agreed that the RUNET audience continues to grow.

FOM’s analysts say that the time the users spent surfing on the Internet and the frequency of web visiting has grown as well.
For example, for the last quarter the numbers of users who are actively using the Internet once a month has increased by 6%, and for the last year — by 15%, while daily usage has increased by 9% and 22% respectively.


Itís interesting to know:

According to TNS analysts, the number of users in RUNET who are between the ages of 25 and 44 is about 48%; users above 45 years old make up 24% of the Russian Internet audience. Young users aged between 18 and 24 are 19%, and between 12 and 17 are 9% from the whole internet audience in Russia.
